Street Car, St. Charles Avenue , New Orleans.

In 1835, the street car lines began service in New Orleans. In the early years the cars evolved from being powered by horses and mules to steam engines. In 1893, the street cars began operating on electricity powered through overhead cables. It is the oldest continously running street railway system in the world.
